Scott Disick says he talks to Mason about ‘hereditary’ alcohol abuse
Scott Disick is taking a proactive approach to teach his kids about the dangers of substance abuse, a struggle he has personally battled for years.
On the premiere episode of the Khloé in Wonderland podcast, the 41-year-old reality star shared how he regularly talks to his 15-year-old son Mason about the ‘hereditary’ risks of alcohol use.
‘I do explain to Mason how drinking affected me and the tough situations it got me into, and he knows that,’ Disick revealed, speaking candidly to Khloé Kardashian.
‘These conversations happen all the time,’ he added.
Disick, who also shares daughter Penelope, 12, and son Reign, 10, with ex Kourtney Kardashian, explained that Mason once assumed he’d be treated differently because of his dad’s past struggles.
‘I told him, « If I see a problem with alcohol with you, I will take action. But other than that, you’re just like every other kid. You’ll try drinking when you try drinking. »‘

He went on to clarify, ‘If I see any hereditary issues, I’ll step in.’
Disick also noted that Mason has likely seen enough of his ‘outlandish’ behavior on KUWTK to understand the consequences, which may help prevent him from making similar choices in the future.
In May 2020, Scott checked himself into a luxury addiction treatment center in The Rocky Mountains after relapsing with booze and drugs.

Sources said Disick, known for his hard partying and multiple stints in rehab, has\d been drinking heavily and taking cocaine while in coronavirus lockdown.
It’s understood the star was struggling with family life during lockdown and was still having a hard time coping with the loss of both his parents a few years ago.
Disick has long had issues with alcoholism and drug use to combat his personal problems.
In the past he has yo-yoed in and out of rehab as he battled to overcome his demons.
His troubles with alcohol and drugs reached an all-time high in 2014 when he downed a bottle of sleeping pills.
He immediately made an attempt at recovery at a rehab facility in Connecticut.
But just when it seemed that he might finally leave his hard-partying ways behind, he checked out early.

In July, 2015 Disick and Kourtney split for good when pictures surfaced of him getting cozy with his ex-girlfriend Chloe Bartoli in Monte Carlo and the star began to unravel once again.
In October 2015, he checked into a facility in Malibu for 비닉스구매 drug and alcohol abuse, after previously seeking treatment in Costa Rica and Florida.
And in early 2016, after another bender of cocaine, vodka, beer and Viagra, Disick was reportedly discovered unresponsive in bed at his Los Angeles home.
In August, 2017 after months of hard partying, womanizing and bizarre behavior, Disick was hospitalized yet again near his home in the exclusive Hidden Hills gated community near Calabasas.
